CV
Mike's career of 28 years to date has seen him work for all the top brands in horse racing, in journalism, commentating and within the tv and media world:
1984-86 TIMEFORM, comment writer for weekly "black book" and Racehorses Annual.
1986-92 SPORTING LIFE WEEKENDER, tipping and features.
1986-90 RACECALL, Broadcaster.

1989-1993 Agent to Willie Carson, over 700 winners in five seasons, including six out of seven at Newcastle in June, 1990.

1992-98 THE SPORTING LIFE, news and course reporter

1993 Agent to Lester Piggott, just for a few weeks! Lester rang me during the winter from Hong Kong and asked me to work for him after my parting with Willie. I had already committed to commentating but managed to book a winner for him in a seller and also a decent ride in the 2,000 Guineas which was quite pleasing. A good way to end my agenting career!
1993-today, Racecourse commentator. Have called at every UK track including Cheltenham Festival, Grand National, York Ebor meeting, Glorious Goodwood. Have also called in Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, France and Spain (the only foreign commentator to call a race, in English, at San Sebastian in 2010). To call The Derby is the remaining and burning ambition.
1995-99 THE RACING CHANNEL

1999-2012, CHANNEL 4 RACING, presenting, paddock, race commentating, Morning Line, etc.
2003 Launch presenter of Attheraces, including Lunchtime Attheraces on Channel 4.
2004-today, AT THE RACES, Presenter. Studio and racecourse presentation, including two Breeders Cups live from USA (Belmont Park, New York and Lone Star Park, Dallas)
Mike has also presented on SKY SPORTS NEWS and SKY NEWS.
